摘要

In this paper we are investigating the effects of the haptic properties, namely spring, damper and friction on the task performance in virtual environment. Many experiments conducted to explore each of the pure spring model, pure damper model and the spring-damper model. The effects of each model on the human performance while the are trying to finish a certain task in the virtual world are deeply investigated. Also, the perceptual features that induced by each model and what kind of feeling perceived by the manipulators is described. The friction role in enhancing the performance is examined.
