摘要

The Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995 brought the brittle type fracture to some steel structures. There are somesteel structures even in nuclear power plants, and it has been requested to examine the possibility of this kind of fracturein operating plants. This report shows the result of a vibration test simulating an example of a practical piping supportexisting outside buildings, where the circumferential temperature is below zero degree in Celsius in winter, by a modeltest using a shaking table. The models are excited by the waves of measured in 1995 and of an artificial earthquake fornuclear power plants. When the modes are excited in double magnitude of S2 (extreme design earthquake) level, somemodels show the plastic behavior, but no brittle type fracture was observed and the integrity of the piping supportsagainst brittle fracture was verified.
