The study investigates the effect of eccentric load on the stability and postcritical states of thin-walled composite top-hat cross sections columns made of CFRP under compression. Specimens are subjected to compression load on a universal testing machine Zwick Z100 regarding to axial and eccentric compressive loads. With reference to carried out studies, buckling and postcritical equilibrium paths describing the relationship between force and deflection, were determined. On the basis of the experimental study, numerical models of thin-walled composite profiles are designed and verified by numerical analysis based on the FEM.
