Testing and strengthening of funicular arched steel truss false-work

摘要

The formwork systems represents an important component of the construction industry. All the previous inventions focused on enhancing the performance of the already existing system without introducing any new structural ideas. The Funicular Arched Steel Truss (FAST) introduces new structural concept that was proved to be sound. This paper discusses the strengthening of this system to increase its capacity using an additional bracing system. The new bracing system was chosen based on some factors to avoid losing the advantages of the new system.
