摘要

Increased generation of Power by Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system is seen as an alternative to fulfill the increased demand of electricity. And hence the increased usage of electrical load devices causes the non-sinusoidal waveforms of current and voltage into the distribution system which is the major reason for increased losses in the distribution transformer. Increased losses will result in increasing operating temperature of transformer, leading to deterioration of the insulation and potential reduction in its life time.
