Electric Vehicles in India: Current Status, Future Trend and Environmental Impact

Electric vehicle (EV) is rapidly gaining popularity as compared to fuel-driven cars. One of the main advantages of electric vehicle is that it does not emit harmful gases compared to conventional vehicles. The government has also come forward to increase the number of EVs. This paper describes current status as well as future prospects of electric vehicles in India. It also focuses on basic EV functioning as well as its effect on environment and economy.
