摘要

The modified covariance method (MCM) is used to obtain autoregressive (AR) models for seismic events coming from the Guerrero Seismic Gap (GSG) in Mexico. The averaged AR model thus obtained may be useful to anticipate for a few seconds, the firing of the warning signal generated by the Seismic Warning System (SWS) installed to prevent the population in Mexico City against strong earthquakes.
