Use of DMA Transfers in Real-Time DSP Systems

摘要

This paper reviews some of the uses of DMA in real-time DSP systems, introduces the concept of a DMA job, suggests a technique, based on rate-monotonic analysis, for assigning priorities to DMA jobs and describes a generalized rate-monotonic scheduler that schedules both DMA and traditional software jobs in a unified manner.
