摘要

Low-cost DSP processors combined with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGAs) are proving to be a viable alternative to more sophisticated and expensive DSP solutions. This paper reports on a multi-frequency electrical impedance tomography spectroscopy (EITS) system based on a Texas Instruments TMS320C50 DSP system and Xilinx XC5000 series FPGA, for a medical imaging application. This design is particularly useful in clinical investigation where wide frequency range is required up to 4MHz. The system described here is totally programmable and using FPGA technology makes a compact design solution.
