A real-time digital resonator, combining a robust fundamental frequency estimation and transversal filters, for electric cello is implemented on a TMS320C31 development board. It has a short delay and can produce natural acoustic cello sounds. The digital resonator introduced in this paper is a general design, not exclusively to cello, that enables people to improve the sound quality of any electric stringed instrument.
