This paper presents a highly efficient architecture/algorithm for limiting the transmission bandwidth of DMT-based systems. By exploiting the DMT symbol structure, the Partial Sequence Filter permits out of band spectrum attenuation and filter roll-off beyond that which may be practically achieved by analog filtering. Compared to standard digital methods, the required MIPs are reduced by an order of magnitude.
