This paper describe the DSP algorithms used in a Eureka-147 Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) receiver.Eureka-147 DAB [1] is an international standard for transmission of high quality digital audio signals and associated data.The standard uses Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM) as the modulation technique,giving robust reception in a mobile multi-path environment.Low cost receivers will soon be introduced in the mass consumer market thanks to the availability of dedicated DAB chipsets.Ensigma Ltd has carried out extensive research into Eureka-147 DAB and have developed designs for baseband signal processing in both transmitters and receivers.This paper describes the DSP algorithms used in a baseband signal processor for DAB receivers.
