Password Hardening Using Keystroke Dynamics

摘要

In this work, we propose a password hardening method based on keystroke dynamics. Unique typing patterns and habits can be used to identify the legitimate user. These typing patterns vary as people tend to have very different typing strengths. Different typing features can be distinguished on the bases of the time duration for specific features. We propose an identification method based on the most significant features of typing. Behaviors and typing patterns change very frequently therefore our system is flexible enough to adapt to these changes.
