Through Process Prevention of Recrystallization in Hot Formed Aluminium Structural Car Components

Recrystallization can be detrimental when structural aluminium components are manufactured and used. Errors made early in the early stages of manufacturing processes cannot be repaired by excellent processing in later stages, and especially the alloy composition, homogenising and extrusion are of vital importance. Thermo mechanical parameters during forming processes and heat treatment should also be considered to exploit the potential in good quality extrusions, but here the main focus can be related to final product performance properties.
