Key Issues on Sharing and Transformation of Lessons from Experiences byActor Organisations in the Aviation Industry

This paper sets out generic requirements including principles of system theory, organizational learningand operational readiness, for a learning system in the aviation sector. On the basis of our analysis wederived a number of key issues for sharing and transforming lessons from experiences. These issueshighlight the critical role of context transformation, the use of performance data, and the sharing ofknowledge among competitors. An advanced learning system is vital for further innovation in theaviation industry.
