Distributed PV will help reduce the peak load of the distribution network and improve the operational efficiency of the distribution network. This paper considers the uncertainty of load and photovoltaic output, and puts forward the confidence cutoff index to measure the impact of PV access on the peak load of distribution network. Combined with the concept of node marginal capacity cost, a method for estimating the probability of peaking benefit of distributed photovoltaic power distribution networks with uncertainties was proposed. The case shows that the proposed method can accurately assess the peak-cutting efficiency of photovoltaic access to the distribution network at different positions while considering the uncertainty of PV output. It has certain guiding significance for the location of distributed photovoltaic.
