In this paper, considering the influence of line voltage drop, the arc extinguishing performance of the active transfer type arc-extinguishing device is further analyzed. The expression of single-phase ground fault point current is derived by the theory of symmetrical component method. The simulation verified the correctness of the theoretical analysis based on ATP/EMTP. The results show that when the active transfer type arc extinguishing device is applied to long feeders and heavy loads, if a low-resistance ground fault occurs, the current flowing through the ground fault point may increase, which is not conducive to the extinguishing of the arc at the fault point.
