摘要

Electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation programs are often used to obtain the optimal values of circuit and control parameters. In this paper, an EMT-simulation-aided optimization technique using the Kriging method is proposed. Then, it is applied to the design of the automatic reactive power regulator (AQR) controller of a static synchronous compensator (STATCOM). It is shown that the optimal solution of the AQR controller can be obtained efficiently by the proposed technique.
