Optimal Configuration of Energy Storage Participating in Auxiliary Services at User-side Considering the Life Cycle Economy Analysis

With the support of national policies, the user-side energy storage auxiliary service market has broad prospects. Three auxiliary services are selected in this paper, including demand management, load shafting and demand response. Firstly, the economic analysis of the user-side energy storage is carried out in terms of cost and benefit. Delayed transformation income, the government subsidy income, the auxiliary service income and the life cycle cost factor are comprehensively in the economic analysis. Secondly, an energy storage optimization configuration model is proposed in the paper. The model takes maximum revenue of industrial user in energy storage's whole-life cycle as the objective function. Then, an improved gray wolf optimizer (GWO)algorithm is employed to solve the model. Finally, the revenue and configuration results of the four types of battery energy storage are calculated to verify the validity of the model. According to the comparation of results, planning suggestions are provided for user-side energy storage participating in different auxiliary services.
