Measured time integrated emission spectra of discharge in capillary filled by argon and nitrogenare presented. The material of the capillary is varied and the comparison of the emission spectrafrom alumina and sapphire capillaries is done. The identification of spectral lines is presented. Themost intense spectral lines are identified as transitions in lithium-like oxygen, lithium-like nitrogenand argon VIII. From the presence of the identified ions the temperature of the plasma is estimatedto 20 Ev. The origin of the oxygen present in the discharge plasma is judged and ascribed to thepresence of the relative high pressure of residual atmosphere.
