We investigated experimentally characteristics of an atmospheric pressure glow discharge (APGD)produced in coaxial type electrodes. An APGD is produced by DC voltage with gas flow betweenthese electrodes. The stable APGD can be sustained only when the center electrode is biasednegative to annular ring anode in addition of the gas flow. The maximum current of the glowdischarge increases with an increase of gas flow velocity. Although the current is larger in heliumgas, an APGD can be also sustained by air gas flow.
