The analysis of the space-time characteristics of power frequency magnetic field generated by different types of high voltage power lines is given. The authors show the possibility of reducing magnetic field level with strongly elongated ellipse of space-time characteristics with single compensating coil. The method of active screening system synthesis of power lines magnetic field with uncertainties of plant is improved. An example of active screening system synthesis of magnetic field generated by single-circuit with vertical arrangement of power lines current conductors is given. It is shown that the magnetic field level inside of five-storey building can reduce to sanitary norms by using a single compensating coil.
