摘要

The development process of a magnetic single component development system in electrophotography has been numerically simulated by a one-dimensional dynamic model. Since the major forces applied to the toner particles are magnetic and electrostatic forces, it is essential to accurately design the magnetization profile of the magnetic roller and electrostatic conditions, such as the applied voltage and the development gap. Parametric calculations were conducted and it was confirmed that the model agrees with the experimental observation. The present model can be utilized for the practical design of the system.
