Theoretical bases of the informative redundancy are considered for the estimation of the navigation high-quality measurements in the ship navigation; a statistical model of navigation measurements errors is built as a way of solving optimization problems. It is shown that it is necessary to spare increased attention the questions of safety of the seagoing.
