A large number of laser cladding experiments were carried out by adding Cr powder of different mass fraction. The physical performance of the cladding layer were analyzed, such as the surface morphology, crack sensitivity, dilution rate, wettability and surface hardness of the cladding. The results show that the addition of Cr in Ni60A alloy powder can improve the hardness and reduce the crack rate, and also can have a favorable effect on dilution rate and wettability. According to the experiments, it is concluded that the best addition amount of Cr is 15%.
