In this paper, the symbol error probability (SEP) performance for selective decode-and-forward cooperative communication over satellite-terrestrial wireless network are analyzed for two fading channel models, Rayleigh/Rayleigh and Rician/Rayleigh. For each channel model, firstly, the average SEP in relay node is derived, then, the average SEP in destination node is carried out. Finally, the power-share issue on relay nodes is considered in those cooperative communication networks.
