The Effect of Culture in the Design of Green-Spaces in Public Places

摘要

Cultural and social behaviors are some of the most influential parameters over the way people treat and use public green spaces such as parks. The principles of cultural and social behaviors can be seen in the philosophy of designing these areas and the varied traditions of each country.By knowing how to integrate a nation's culture, we can arrive at two important factors in designing and constructing public green spaces, which are as follows:1. Designing can be performed in such a way that it would be harmonious with people's culture.2. Educating people to respect and preserve Public parks and green spaces and providing provisions in design to protect these spaces from possible harm from the environment.On the other hand, predicting these threats can equip and prepare managers, designers, engineers and any other responsible party to suggest better ideas in order to prevent them before they happen. So by obtaining knowledge management, maintenance could be much more beneficial and more efficient.Approaching this kind of observation needs methodology and statistical studies; which has been implemented in the case study discussed in this paper.
