Basically, antibacterial finishes for medical textiles are able to prevent or reduce a large amount of harmful microbes contacting fabric surface, however, the physiological comforts for human body seem to be significantly affected since such agents hardly induce the favorable feelings in case of heat and water exchange between skin and surroundings. In this investigation, the addition of hydrophobic treatments upon antibacterial fabric were concerned and estimated through a synergistic or mutual effect among finishing compounds to form the multi-functional medical textiles. Such smart solution not only protected human from harmful risks such as virus and infected blood but also enhanced contacting comfort as well as application value of health care textiles.
