In this paper, development of a data processing software for grounding grid fault diagnosis of power substation based on the state response analysis (SRA) with impulse current is introduced. The SRA method with impulse current for grounding grid of power substation is described in detail firstly. Then the main function of the developed software used to analyze and display the measured current and voltage waveshapes is presented, including data loading, data display, parameter calculation, database management and correlation analysis to achieve fault diagnosis for grounding grid of power substation. At last, two examples of tests to the grounding grids with filed measured data are shown. All of that provides an effective technical support for grounding grid fault diagnosis based on the SRA.
