The phonocardiogram signal (PCG) is a physiological signal that reflects heart mechanical activity, is a promising tool for curious researchers in this field because it is full of indications and useful informations for medical diagnosis. Having a non-noisy PCG signal is not always accurate because the recording of this signal is interrupted by uncontrollable noise from the patient and the recording environment itself This is why in this article we propose two methods for denoising heart sounds including Discrete Wavelets Transform (DWT) and linear filter in order to obtain a signal apt for use.The DWT denoising process presents four methods in which the user has the choice of the most appropriate method to analyze his signal. A study was proceed these four methods to examine their performance. In the other hand, compare the optimal method resulting from this stage with a linear filter in order to judge the most appropriate way to deniose a PCG signal.
