An Effective Current Limitation Algorithm For Servo Drive

This paper proposes a method of limiting the effective current value in a closed loop control system of electric drive on the basis of known nominal parameters of the motor and measuring the instantaneous value of current at the interval of work with the maximum current. Simulation in MATLAB/Simulink results show that utilization of the proposed method makes it possible to operate at allowable temperature over a wide range of velocity using maximum currents at short intervals.
