Optical computing phenomena are most accurate and innovative approach in order to fulfil the requirements of fast switching and high speed communication system as the transistor based switch and other technology are becoming obsolete. The micro-ring resonator can be used as a elemental way to implement various all optical computing phenomena. This paper outlines the efficient way of using the Microring resonator's application as a switch. This paper also shows the suitable method to design the all-optical OR/NOR digital logic gate. The paper examines the switching activity of micro-ring resonator structure using the MATLAB simulation result. Finally, the result of the proposed device is clearly verified using the simulation performed in the MATLAB. The implementation of optical switching activity in order to obtain the OR/NOR logical functionality includes some additional benefits of Photonics e.g. less impervious to EMI, parallel computation, secured communications, space efficient, lower attenuation loss.
