Fuzzy Approach to Select Most Suitable Conflict Resolution Strategy in Multi-Agent System

摘要

Selection of a suitable conflict resolution strategy depends on conflict type, degree of assertiveness of agents and agent's concern. The state of the art in conflict resolution ignores the factors like the agent's level of concern for self and others. The criteria for classification of the factors affecting the selection of a conflict resolution strategy is also too theoretical that divides the conflict strength and confidence level of conflicting agents into `High' and `Low' exactly at the center of the range resulting in abrupt change in selection of conflict resolution strategy at margins. In this paper, the use of fuzzy logic to select the most suitable conflict resolution strategy for software agents is proposed that is comprehensive and tries to improvise quality within cost constraints.
