摘要

This paper proposes a dual band printed patch antenna with defected ground structure. A V and C shaped resonating strips are attached to the 50 Ω microstrip line which is used to feed the proposed antenna. The impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is from (2.2-3.57GHz) in lower band and from (3.7GHz-6.3GHz) in upper band. The antenna parameters are adjusted in such a way so that it covers the required frequency ranges. The antenna covers 2.4/3.5/5.2/5.8GHz for various wireless applications for example WLAN at (2.4/5.2/5.8GHz)/ WiMAX at (2.5/5.5GHz). All the results have been simulated successfully.
