Analysis on the Causes of the Provincial Disparity of China's Urbanization Process

摘要

The paper estimate the actual provincial urbanization levels in China by the statistical techniqus and geometric method,and analyze the main factors that had been affecting provincial urbanization process in China,with grey correlative analysis(GCA)employed when the index system were reconstructed.The results show that:Firstly,it is an integrative result of factors for provicial urbanization levels to diversify in China,which includes natural enviroment,economic and social development,and technical advancement;Secondly,the factors that are the comprehensive economic development,the tertiary,social invertment & business,consumption and thlecommunication level are main pemanent momentums that lead to differen urbanization levels for the provinces;Thirdly,there are different main tactors during different penods because of history and different olicies.
