Research on Applications of the Earned Value Management in the Project Cost Management

The earned value management system (EVMS), which is a comprehensive project management system, not only uses the performance measurement method—earned value analysis to analyze the situation of the project cost management but also effectively controls the cost and improves the effects of cost management through the earned management. The components and applied criteria of the EVMS are mainly introduced and the necessary process for an architectural enterprise to establish the EVMS is presented. At the same time, in view of the importance of the project cost management information to the EVMS, the architectural enterprise should establish the EVMS cost accounting system, expand the train of thoughts of project cost management and carry out the project management highefficiently.
