Develop 5S Program for Construction Enterprises

摘要

Although Chinese government has been attaching great importance to the quality and safety problems in construction enterprises for many years,casualty accidents in construction enterprises are only less than that in mining enterprises.The paper borrows the ideas of 5S from Japan,which is the basis for lean production and the foundation for a disciplined approach to the workplace,suggests a five-step 5S program,namely,sort,straighten,shine,standardize and sustain for construction enterprises to realize safety,efficiency,quality,eliminate waste and control over workplace and points out essential elements to carry out the program successfully.
