The application of semantic web on agricultural domain — A state of art survey

Agriculture information is necessary for a farmer to take the right step towards proper farming. In India a lot of extensive agriculture practices are currently in use which leads to low yield. Good practices done in agriculture are not properly recorded and hence the techniques remain implicit. In the last few years, several projects have been carried out, with the aim of developing innovative systems for bridging the gap with farmers. Here, Ontology being a knowledge representation tool plays a vital role. The survey deals with the complex nature, deficits of various techniques proposed for agricultural information systems and a better way to solve the farmer's needs over other techniques.
