Backface culling using uniform normal masks

摘要

Backface culling using normal masks is usually used to determine the visibility of normal cluster in order to make backface culling fast and efficient. In this paper, an improvement on this method is presented: a uniform normal space partition is proposed instead of a non-uniform one, which can form a normal hierarchy and can speed up backface culling while minimizing the time to calculate backface masks.
