摘要

The presence of ship-induced wake can significantly change sea surface's geometric structures especially for low wind conditions, and in this paper we investigate the effect of ship-induce wake on backscattering signatures of rough sea surfaces by utilizing second-order small-slope approximation (SSA-II) with tapered wave incidence for reducing the edge effect caused by the limited surface size. It is found that the scattering signatures with a ship-induced wake significantly differ from those without wake, which is of great importance for the detection of ships in marine environment.
