摘要

The present work centres in chemical activation with NaOH, completing previous results obtained with this activating agent. In aprevious work, NaOH was proved to have good performance for the activation of anthracites using a simple method of physicalmixing. In this work we have extended the method to other precursors (different coal ranks and lignocellulosic materials), withpromising results. The porosity of the materials depends strongly, in addition to the experimental variables of the preparationprocess, on the selected precursor.Moreover, we deepen into the mechanism of chemical activation, proposing a global reaction of the process, which has beencorroborated by different experimental techniques.
