摘要

By the application of calorimetry of immersion of two organic compounds, toluene and methylcyclohexane, on a series ofgraphite samples with surface areas in the range of 1 to 300 m2/g; we have been able to detect specific interactions of thearomatic compound on the solid surface sites located on the lateral faces of the graphitic crystals. These interactions oftoluene molecules are stronger (as detected by the immersion heats) in comparison with the methylciclohexane ones.Tentatively these results can be ascribed to the formation of surface transfer of change complexes among the aromaticelectrons and some specific surface sites of graphite.
