Oral cancer is a noteworthy issue in the Indian subcontinent where it positions among the main three kinds of tumour in the nation. Cancer starts in the squamous cell because uncontrollable growth occurs in the squamous cell, which is known as squamous cell carcinoma. Gradual growth of cancer may lead to the invasion of deeper tissues. ELF4 is a transcription factor belonging to the ETS family which can suppress tumors and can remain inactive in the body for a broad class of tumors found in human. With the help of high throughput ChIP-Seq data, we analyzed the transcription factor binding regions of ELF4 using standard procedures for quality check, sequence alignment, peak calling and motif discovery. The outcome of this study was the identification of several genes that could be used as potential targets and biomarkers for oral cancer with thorough investigation.
