Temperature Rise of High-power-density Induction Motor in the Starting Process

摘要

The temperature rise of high-power-density and high-voltage induction motor in the starting and running processes is the key to the design, development and operation of such induction motor. In this paper, we aim to investigate the temperature distribution and temperature rise when the induction motor is in the starting process. Based on the critical region of the motor heating, the 3D fluid-solid coupling model of such motor is built. Through solving the coupling model, the transient temperature field and the fluid field are then obtained. The transient temperature rises are analyzed when such motor starts with different loads.
