Stability of Magnetic Properties on HTS Fe-Based Amorphous Metal Alloy

Although the amorphous alloy core distribution transformers (AMDT) have the advantage of lower no-load losses over orientation silicon-steel distribution transformers (OSDT), a high cost level is inevitable because of lower saturation flux density compared with OSDT. In this paper, the static and dynamic characteristics of sample cores from HTS AMDT have been measured under different temperatures. The testing platform was set up to analyze the cores magnetic function at normal operation and limited temperature. The experimental results suggested that the magnetic characteristics are almost stable. All above testing results and analysis are helpful to substitute imported substitute with domestic amorphous alloy strip and reduce the manufacturing cost of HTS AMDT.
