Voice Recognition and Information Transmission System for Hearing Impaired People

In this paper, we describe a system that learns surrounding human voice and sounds emitted from an object, and visually conveys it to hearing impaired people. In Japan where the total population of hearing impaired people increases, although the disparity from healthy people is narrowed by enriching the welfare service dedicated to the hearing impaired, the surrounding people (nursing care person) become variously to the hearing impaired people needed to take care. In this paper, we propose an information transmission system using speech recognition as a service for surrounding people who care for the hearing impaired, to make the deaf person behave as a healthy person in the same position.
