Risk Hunters - Combining Forensics Archeology to find and Attack those Pesky Risks

An international panel sponsored by the Measurement Working Group and supported by thernRisk Management Working Group explores this intriguing theme from several unique perspectives. Presentations include 'prior-to' risk diagnosis using archeological analogies to post-activity risk using autopsy; highly rigorous risk hunting methods versus the creative approaches of risk crime scene investigators. The presentations and discussion explore the difficult questions of how we determine what measures will give us the best information regarding risk.rnEach panelist will present a perspective that includes a description of the trick or technique, place in the life cycle where it is to be used, past experiences on the good, bad and the ugliness of the trick or technique and thoughts on ways to improve the trick or technique. This panel promises fresh and innovative ways to think about a difficult area in systems engineering - how to identify risks, understand their impact on projects and build a robust body of knowledge to improve our overall skills as systems engineers.
