Targeting Financial Systems as Centers of Gravity: 'Low Intensity' to 'No Intensity' Conflict

This article defines a quantitative relationship between national power and the financial elements (GDP, Banks, Stocks, Foreign Debt, Exports and Imports). The empirical statistical data presented provides a simplified tool to determine which countries may be vulnerable to attack against financial centers of grayity. Using a country's current financial data, the military specialist can use the model to determine if an enemy country is ripe for attack against its financial centers of gravity. It has expounded on the types of financial attacks - lethal versus nonlethal, conventional versus unconventional; conventional - in an attempt to help the military analyst determine which type of attack is appropriate for the situation.
