Knowledge is belief that is adequately grounded and in accord with the truth. This definition of the term "knowledge" gives it a general meaning that is applicable to all kinds of knowledge. But the definition requires explanation. What is it to be "adequately grounded", what does "true" or "in accord with the truth" mean? And how can belief be knowledge? Is it not rather the opposite of belief?
