This paper discusses research on fault propagation analysis and two associatedrnfault sensitivity measurement approaches for the investigation of faults in human human-centricrnprocesses. The techniques presented grew out of a joint project between the U.S. Air ForcernAcademy and Missouri University of Science and Technolo Technology to investigate terroristrngy activities involving improvised explosive devices. Two potential counterterrorism activitiesrnrelated to improvised explosive devices are developed through the paper to demonstrate thernapplication and usefulness of the methodolo methodologies. Provided with the examples is a discussionrngies. Of fault propagation, the sensitivity analysis performed, an interpretation of the results, and anrnoverview of anticipated future applications in system design.
